In order (Top to Bottom)-
Markus RK200 Android graveyard concept
As Markus in these concepts has been left in a junk pile of androids and parts, he needs to look the part. Looking at different ideas and textures to use and the clothes he wears in the scene, Bertin adds details and tells a story thought the clothes. As Markus was dumped in to the ditch, he wouldn't be in the best shape and so by adding tears into the clothes, dirty and grime to the skin and details such as loosing his shoes, it can tell help both the design team and us visualise what happened without having inconsistency in each persons work. The reflective material
Markus RK200 Components concept
This is a more finalised version of Mikael Jeger's eye component design. This design is more the whole part of the head detaches not just the eye ball which gives a more segmented structure to the skull and the detail that each model must have their own set parts. The detailed map of the eye part gives visual aid to us a viewer and the team constructing this.
Android Thirium Pump regulator
The thirium pump regulator is one the major component in an android, in the game if Connor's regulator is forcibly removed he has 1 minute 45 second to install it again before he dies. The final regulator design is a compact piece of machinery that as the name states, regulates the thirium in the android and makes sure their heart doesn't give out. Bertin's simplistic and sleek design encompasses what most would think when thinking about the future in technological advancements.
(Left) Chloe RT600 Final model
Chloe is the first android model created by Elijah Kamski and Cyberlife in 2021.she was the first personal assistant created by the company an she also passed the Turing test in 2022. Her design is professional but comfortable as she is Elijah's assistant. Her make up is simplistic and her dress is angular a bit like a hospital gown which gives her a clinical look. Her design is simple and elegant much like what you would expect from he first android ever made. Her clothes in her final design are look professional from he front but reveals a lot of her back and she doesn't wear shoes while walking around- giving a hint of what she does while with Elijah.
Bertin's use of texture on the skin adds to the effect of making Chloe seem like a real human instead of synthetic skin, her clothes complements her as a character and doesn't seem to complicate her design which is a nice way of adding weight to a secondary character without overloading us with information.
(Right) Connor RK800 Final model
Connor is a RK model made by Cyberlife to help in criminal investigations with the DPD. He is equips with DNA testing and is faster and stronger then most androids, and has the ability to reconstruct crime scenes once he has surfactant data. He has the armband and triangle on his uniform jacket which is a common indicator that he is an android. His suit is sharp, his jacket made from angular shades of grey and his tie is pristine and looks new. You can tell from his uniform that he was made for a serious job but he is also wearing jeans which contrasts with his professional attire.
Connor is made to look approachable to help with his integration with working with humans and his design shows that well, by giving him a more casual job attire Bertin's design of Connor is more boyish and friendly both to humans and androids. He has a simple aesthetic much like Chloe and his clothes go well with what kind of job he is does which is something I hope to implement in my character designs by showing them through their clothes and also by making sure the character looks like they should be doing that job.
