End concepts

The end concepts I created for my game idea. I created the beginning set, the end scene and different concepts for levels and enemies.

For the bedroom colour scheme I prefer the top one as the colours are more cohesive with each other, the brown and tan tones of the bedroom so a lot better with the purple shadows and the night sky.

For the end scene I did two different colour schemes for the night sky, I prefer the first design because the colours are more crisp and cool looking. However I prefer the night sky in the second design so maybe if I was to do this project again I would do a second design with both the colours of the first design and the sky in the second.

I created designs for Levels 1, 4, 6 and 10, each design has different elements such as the lamps you can break with found objects on the platforms, security lights you have to brea if you want to hide from the humanoids in the later stages, the swinging lights that you can't break however you can hide from the light underneath shelters and wait for them to pass. A game feature that stays the same in most levels is the use of the electrical wire to tightrope across to other buildings. The boss level on level 10 requires you to through bottles and rocks from around the environment at The Hand. Once the Hand is about to die it will crash into the electrical plant that has been giving off so much light . This is what sparks the dream as Raf has seen that the plant at night has been using spotlights and security lights that they are their own beacon of light and it is impossible to see the sky around the rural town that they live in now.

For the enemies I wanted to have a humanoid creature because my character is a fox; foxes are nocturnal and elusive creatures that do not like to interact with humans. That is why you can not kill these creatures as they are meant to represent us in their world. Raf has to hide under shelters so they will not be spotted by the humanoids much like real foxes do in our world, however if their is a spotlight or security light shinning into the shelter the humanoids can see Raf.

A quick concept of different bottles and rocks Raf can throw in the gam; these objects can be found in the environment or in chests that can be found on buildings or the road. Raf can only hold one of each object at a time so the player must be stealthy and tactical to find the quickest way through the level but also get the most points from breaking lights.
