For this project I chose to do the Night Blights, a Campaign to protect rural England or CPRE. CPRE are an organisation that are a leading voice in the campaign against light pollution. They are concerned that, even in the depths of the countryside, genuine dark starry nights are becoming harder to find. For this project I want to make a concept game that is about lights in the city and how because their is so much man made light at night we never sea the night sky.

I will look at a game for children (around 10 to 13 years old) to promote less lighting at night such as street lights or security lights that turn on at random times even though nothing walked by. It will be a platformer game so the character can strategies ways to break the lights with found objects in the environment around them. The game will be in side the chapters dreams and will be based in a abstract version of a residential London street and the player has to break streetlights and motion lights to collect points but there will be obstacles such as security lights; which if seen by them you loose your life and a humanoid creatures which you have to hide from. The objective of the game is to make your way through the city (each level being a different part of London) breaking the street lights and getting points from either breaking them or collecting items that can help you in either hiding or smashing. You have to make your way to the end goal which is a rural area and you can see the work you have done, which is the milky way visible in the night sky as the town is dark.

For this project I want the character to be an animal, so I will look at different london animals.
